Sherry, Port, Madeira

Berrys' Own Selection Ports
BBR are, as one would expect, the leading UK importer of Vintage Port and every time there is a Declaration we work very closely with a producer of our choice to fashion an Own Selection Vintage Port of real quality. But there is more to port than Vintage, and the BOS range captures the wonderful stylistic diversity of the category.
Primes inter pares is the 20 year-old cask-aged William Pickering, made for us by the House of Noval, who also are the source of the traditional (unfiltered) LBV. Taste some of the LBVs on the market against this and you will understand what real Late Bottled Vintage is all about.

Indeed one can say the same about our Finest Reserve, made for us by the Bergqvists at Quinta de la Rosa......a far superior blend to many aged Ruby ports in the market-place. Add to this the extraordinary value of the Crusted Port ( essentially a blend of three vintages, aged in the manner of a vintage wine) and one has a most impressive and diverse range.

Berrys' Own Selection Madeira
Our revamped BOS Madeira range is available in 50cl bottles and covers the gamut of Madeira styles. All wines have been upgraded to the 5 Year Old Premium category, and most importantly, matured by the superior 'canteiro' ageing method: Berrys' Boreas, Berrys' Meredith, Berrys' Spy, Berrys' Rainwater

Berrys' Own Selection Sherry
As pioneers Berrys have been able to forge strong relationships with the very best producers, and they do not come much better than Lustau, a house which, annually, seems to win more vinous accolades than virtually any other in the world. Lustau and the equally famous Sanlucar house of Barbadillo provide the bed-rock of our sherry styles, which run the gamut from the bone dry Fino, through the extra-Solera aged Seguidilla Manzanilla, then the decadently rich Fine Dry Oloroso and finally the luscious Oloroso Cream.

In addition there are special rare Almacenistas bottlings , underwritten by the BBR nomenclature, which rehearse the more complex and esoteric styles.....Manzanilla Pasada, Moscatel and Palo Cortado to name but three. As with the cathedral-like Bodegas, sherry retains a certain enigmatic character, the quality of its wines never ceasing to instill with its multiplicity of flavour a source of awe and inspiration alike. And still amazingly priced, still relatively unfashionable in spite of its adamantine allure.
