2010 North America
A fairly cool growing season led growers to leave the grapes on the vine longer to achieve full maturity. The result is wines which have a slightly higher acid level than normal and pronounced freshness, precision and balance. The whites are particularly successful because of this cooler weather in the run-up to harvest, and the Pinot Noirs also thrived in this weather.
