Intensely perfumed and with a hugely attractive dark chestnut colour, this Extra-Anejo Tequila is one of the most respected bottlings of its kind. Very rarely are Agave spirits aged for this long. Still, after five years in separate casks that previously held Scotch Whisky, Sherry and Brandy, this is married together, showcasing the skill of much-vaunted (and delightfully alliterative) Master Tequilero Germán González Gorrochotegui.
Even with his supreme talents, only a few thousand bottles can be produced each year, and each shows his desired depth of flavour and complexity. A tequila to sip and share into an evening conjures a previously unimagined melange of sweet agave nectar, and bitter chocolate cherries served with a sandalwood bowl and spoon.

Aged for five years in ex-Speyside, Sherry and Cognac casks, the Tears of Llorona is incredibly complex, deep and multi-layered. It opens with notes of honey, dried fruit, vanilla and caramel. Then waves of spice - green peppercorns and star anise, are followed by hints of dark chocolate, praline and toasted almonds, and finishes on a herbaceous, floral note. Totally captivating.
