2014 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Artemis, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California, USA

Description

Very dense in its bright purple colour this is a great entry for Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in 2014. The oak frames the dark, brooding fruit very nicely and the finish is already taking shape well. This is crying out for rare Bavette and a quick decant – exactly what I look for in my Napa Cabernets.

Critics reviews

Robert Parker 90/100
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis is a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Malbec. Among the top wines, it's the least expensive red in the Stags Leap portfolio. An elegant style of wine, with notes of cedar wood, black and red currants and spice box, this medium-bodied, delicious, complex and elegant wine could easily pass for a second- or third-growth Bordeaux in a blind tasting. It should drink nicely for another 10-15 years.
Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (Dec 2016)
