Cachapoal Valley

Cachapoal Valley, located in the heart of Chile’s wine country, is a prominent wine-producing region known for its diverse microclimates and rich soil, making it ideal for growing various grape varieties. Nestled between the Andes mountains to the east and the Coastal Range to the west, the valley benefits from a unique climate influenced by both oceanic and continental conditions. This combination leads to warm days and cool nights, which helps retain the grapes’ acidity while enhancing their flavour profiles.

The valley is primarily recognised for its production of red wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, which thrives in the region’s warm, sun-drenched conditions. The sandy and clayey soils of the valley, coupled with adequate irrigation from the Cachapoal River, contribute to the grapes’ complexity and depth of flavour, resulting in bold and elegant wines.
