Jacques Cacheux began making wine in the 1950s. In 1994 he retired and handed over the reins to his son Pascal who has propelled this domaine into the top rank of Vosne producers in the last 6 years. The domaine has 5 hectares of vines in Vosne Romanée, Echézeaux and Nuits-St-Georges.
The grapes are totally destemmed and then macerated for between 8-10 days. The wines are then matured in oak, 100% new in the Premiers and Grand Crus, and are then bottled without any filtering or fining. Pascal Cacheux produces elegant, silky wines that, whilst eminently approachable when young, have the ability to age gracefully as well.
