Ch. de Panigon,
Ready, but will keep,
From a splendid, family owned château situated at the northern tip of the Médoc, this is a classic blend of roughly 45 percent each of Cabernet Sauvingon and Merlot, and 10 percent Petit Verdot (which lends a bit of body and spice). One of the best-value wines we’ve tasted from one of the great Bordeaux years, its many awards are well deserved. There is perfect balance of ripe, black fruits, creamy oak and fresh acidity – there is real energy and life here. It is rare to have such style and persistence at such a modest price.

Château de Panigon is located in Civrac en Medoc in the north-west of Lesparre, about an hour away from Bordeaux. The estate is family run, and is ninety hectares large, with the vineyards taking up fifty three of these.
Corinne Leveilley Dadda and Georges Dadda, daughter and son-in-law of the owners, took over management of the Château in 2006, and continue to produce red and rosé wines in the traditional Medoc way.
Corinne and Georges have invested in an advanced replanting program and new farming machinery. Paired with their proven management techniques, they make the absolute most out of this exceptional terroir.
They produce reds and one white: Château de Panigon AOC Médoc, Château Amour AOC Médoc and Le Rosé de Panigon Bordeaux rosé AOC.
