Amisfield Vineyard is located near the shores of Lake Dunstan in Central Otago and was originally a high country merino sheep station. Plantings consist of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc with yields being kept low to provide concentrated fruit flavour and complexity derived form the range of sites within the vineyard.
Taking its name from the location of our spectacular cellar, the Lake Hayes range is a selection of fine wine produced from classical grape varieties grown in premium winegrowing areas of New Zealand.
The first vintages from this beautiful site overlooking Lake Dunstan have been very promising. Jeff Sinnott, former Isabel Estate winemaker, produces fine, perfumed, graceful Pinot Noir, a full rich Pinot Gris, a brilliantly mineral Riesling and a textbook Sauvignon Blanc.
