Bodegas Amézola de la Mora is one of the oldest wine estates in Rioja, established in the mid-19th century. It was reinvigorated in the 1980s by Iñigo Amézola de la Mora, who expanded the facilities and opened a brand-new winery in 1987. Today, his daughters Maria and Cristina de Amézola Downes run the estate – the fifth generation to do so. The property is located in Torremontalbo in the district of La Rioja Alta. The estate owns all its vineyards. The team tends 60 hectares of vines in total, planted to Tempranillo, Graciano and Viura.
