Château Haut Bergey dates back to the 15th century and was acquired by Sylviane Garcin-Cathaird in the early 1990's. The estate has been extensively renovated and the construction of three new chais were carried out to rehabilitate the domain.
The 29 hectares of Haut Bergey are not all in production, 21 hectares are planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot while 3 hectares are planted with 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon. Grapes are harvested by hand, while the wine-making and ageing processes are carefully controlled by an on-site analysis laboratory.
