Description

Our Food and Wine matching events are unique. They take place in the Pickering Cellar and each attendee has a place setting of three sets of cutlery and a tasting mat with 12 contrasting samples of both classic and unusual wines. Your host will greet you with the apéritif and opening comments about the food, the wines and the format. The chef will then send in his dishes, two at a time, in three mini sittings, to try against four wines. Everyone tucks into the dishes and marks their tasting grid with their comments on the food and wine matching potential. Time is allotted at the end of each sitting to discuss the merits of each wine and allow differing points of view to be expressed from the floor. Aubergines are our theme this evening, so expect six mini dishes to taste, all including aubergines.

The quest to find the perfect wine go with a particular dish will go on forever. At Berry Bros. & Rudd we offer an extensive selection of food and wine events to reflect this. From your classic food and wine marriages to more unique dishes, these events are perfect for brushing up on your dinner party skills, entertaining clients or for just treating your friends and family.

Having whet your appetite with a refreshing aperitif at 6.30pm, you’ll begin a pleasurable evening learning which wines work with different types of food, and why. Demonstrated over three sittings of generous sample dishes (six in total) alongside different styles of wines (minimum of eight wines), you’ll master the art of food and wine matching.

Due to the high demand for all our events, we have to restrict the number of tickets that we can sell to any individual to a maximum of 4 tickets (subject to availability).
