Description
Unleash your inner wine nerd with a close look at the scientific side of winemaking tonight. Martin Hudson, Master of Wine – and chemistry geek in a former life – will fill you in on the science, which counts at every stage. You will cover a range of topics, including pH versus total acidity, stopped fermentations, malolactic conversion and filtration, all illustrated using contrasting pairs of wine. The fun will be interactive as the Pickering Cellar turns into a laboratory for the evening; so come along, roll your sleeves up, don a Berry Bros. & Rudd smart apron and get involved in experiments including measuring alcohol and acidity levels. This will be a fun and highly educational evening.
