Description

If you've ever wondered what the difference between Prosecco and Champagne is, or wanted to see if you really can spot an English sparkling wine in a line-up of French, this event is for you. In a series of four different flights, Barbara Drew will guide you through the sometimes mystifying world of Champagne, first explaining what sets it apart from other sparkling wines, and exploring how it is made, before delving into the different styles found in the region. To make things more fun, each flight will include an interloper from outside the region.

Wines to be tasted:

Champagnes
Champagne Pol Roger, Réserve, Brut
Champagne Marguet, Blanc de Noirs Brut Tradition
Champagne Bollinger, Special Cuvée, Brut
Berrys' United Kingdom Cuvée, Grand Cru, Mailly
Berrys' United Kingdom Cuvée, Blanc de Blancs, Grand Cru, Le Mesnil
2005 Berrys' United Kingdom Cuvée, Grand Cru, Mailly
