Women of the Vine, Wednesday 3rd October 2018

Join Wine and Spirits Education Specialist Barbara Drew for this special tasting focusing on women in the wine industry. We’ll start by looking at the history of female influence in wine, beginning in Champagne with the contribution of the Grandes Dames in the 1800s. Moving on to the twentieth century, we’ll consider how the two World Wars changed the face of viticulture and vinification, before looking at the influence of female winemakers today. We’ll taste a broad spectrum of delicious wines crafted by some of the most talented winemakers in the world today, all accompanied by a selection of artisan cheeses and our Head Chef’s specially-designed canapés.
