Rob Whitehead, our Spirits Buyer, will be joined by Mark Reynier, founder and CEO of Waterford Distillery, a terroir-driven Irish whisky producer.
Waterford is the latest whisky venture from Mark Reynier, the former CEO of Bruichladdich. The distillery was created in 2015, converted from a former Guinness brewery in south-eastern Ireland. Influenced by some of the world’s greatest winemakers, the team at Waterford are true believers in the presence of terroir within distilled liquids.
Dial in for this Q&A discussing the evolution of this pioneering whisky project. Mark and Rob will talk about the concept of terroir and its impact on Irish barley – including organic, biodynamic and heritage grains.
