As one of the most versatile spirits, rum can vary greatly in style and taste: spicy or fruity, white or dark, smoky or bright. Broadly speaking, there are three distinctive styles of rum, which have been shaped by historical colonial forces: British, French and Spanish.
We’ll shine a light on these different styles of rum, guiding you through four rums from the Caribbean, Central America and Mauritius.
