This duo of wines from world-class regions will give any fine wine lover pause for thought. Broad-shouldered and full-bodied, the 2016 Amarone comes from one of the Italian region’s most progressive producers. With flavours of stewed fruit, blackberries and cherries, it combines richness, muscle and grace. We’ve partnered it with a totally different – but equally impressive – red from Burgundy. This 2014 Premier Cru is made by star producer Domaine Jean Chauvenet, and comes from one of the most lauded sites in Nuits-St Georges.
