Willett, Single Cask, 6-Year-Old, Single Cask, Straight Rye Whiskey, Kentucky, USA (51.9%)

There is a delicious orange peel tang to the nose of the Willett, Single Cask Rye that freshens up the dominance of warm spice, caramelised nuts and toasted sandalwood. The palate is rich and thick, like a bittersweet caramel. The high alcohol content is apparent at first, however a few drops of water enhance the sweetness, mellowing the whiskey out and allowing the dried fruit and spice to shine through like a pecan pie, fresh out of the oven. One that fans of American Whiskey will struggle to say no to.
