The two ends of the Rhône Valley are, in vinous terms, dissimilar siblings: one lyrical, generally focused on the single varietal and taking a stylistic lead from neighbouring Burgundy; the other broad, expansive and generous, glorying in a range of grape varieties and a Mediterranean warmth.
