Domaine J. Matrot has around 20 hectares of vines and was established in 1909 by Joseph Matrot. His grandson Thierry started working there in 1976 and has been in sole charge since 1983.
Thierry firmly believes that quality originates in the vineyards - yields are kept to a minimum by systematic pruning and grapes are picked at optimum ripeness. These are beautifully crafted, understated wines that have excellent ageing potential.
